How do you give up an old habit? You do exactly that: you simply give it up. Release it. Awareness is the key—awareness that you had this habit, and then awareness that it no longer serves you … that there is a way of thinking, behaving, being, and flowing that will provide you greater flow. You hold the old habit in awareness and you offer it to the Light to be transmuted. Are you ready to be free? Believe that it is that simple. By grace are you healed.
Right on target as many of your messages are. This morning I was considering whether to completely drop a personal habit due to its increasing negative effects as I grow older. Although I’ll initially miss having a glass of wine (or two) with dinner or the occasional scotch, the feedback from my aging metabolism (headaches, disturbed sleep) and guidance from my own spiritual intuition have been informing me that moderate alcohol ingestion is no longer beneficial to me. Today’s message confirmed my own awareness. Thank you Sanya for the encouraging prescription for releasing old habits whether they be minor or significant.
